Although hyped as the remake of the Pegue Gallaga film”Aswang” which starred Alma Moreno, the 2011 film Aswang seemed like original nevertheless still followed the first half of the classic film. It cannot be considered a remake though because the film just didn’t have that hair-raising horror the classic had. So perhaps it’s safe to say that this is a re-imagination of the 1992 Aswang movie – and quite a good one for the average movie audience.

Titled “Bulong”, it tells a story of a Nurse (Vhong Navarro) who desperately wants to get the girl of his wildest dreams, Ellen(Bangs Garcia). Accustomed by a Filipino superstitious belief that when you whisper a wish to the dead the wish will come true, he went to see an expert (Angelica Panganiban) when it comes to those kind of stuffs.Things went complicated when he actually followed what was suggested to him and whispered a wish to the dead.The following day he got what he asked for and now all of the chick-a babes have gone affectionate to him.But it doesn’t ends there – later he finds out that he’s got more than what he asked for! Together with Angelica Panganiban’s character, Vhong seeks ways to make things right – but will they?

- is an upcoming horror-suspense movie produced by Pixel8 Entertainment Productions.  It is topbilled by now controversial sexy actress Katrina Halili. Members of its cast include Tonton Gutierrez, Glydel Mercado, Anita Linda, Mon Confiado, Matet de Leon, and retired cager Alvin Patrimonio. The movie was shot in an abandoned house (abandoned for 40 years) in Dalahican, Cavite. Dalaw is written and directed by Joven Tan. Premiere night will be on June 1 at SM Megamall and the regular showing starts June 3, 2009.
